I love frozen bananas since I started making my 3-ingredient protein banana chocolate chips ice-cream cups. It's just the perfect snack and turns into a simple dessert super easily and quickly. Now try to add some peanut butter. Heaven!
This recipe will solve the big problem of finding healthy, quick and simple recipes. And I can't believe this took me just a few minutes to put together.
Anyways, a word of caution before we dive into the recipe: They are highly addictive! I'm not kidding. You probably won't be able to just eat one or two. We ate them all at once. We could barely wait until I finished taking pics of them.

- 2 medium ripe bananas
- 1/4 cup (65g) creamy nut butter of your choice (I used peanut butter)
- 3/4 cup (100g) chocolate chips
- 1 tsp coconut oil

- Line a baking tray with parchment paper. Slice each banana into thin slices and place half the pieces on the baking tray.
Spread the nut butter onto each banana slice, then cover each slice with another slice. Place the banana peanut butter sandwiches in the freezer for about 30 minutes or until frozen.
In a microwave-safe bowl melt the chocolate chips with the coconut oil. Use a fork or spoon to cover each banana bite with chocolate, then place them back on the sheet. Freeze again for one hour and enjoy.
Store in freezer and thaw them for a few minutes before consumption
